Have you seen the trailer for the new movie, Branded? Since trailer #2 was posted to YouTube about six weeks ago, 1.4 million people have, including me.
It looks to make corporations and advertising out to be the puppet masters and puppet strings, respectively, of a dystopic near-future. Perhaps it has some allegorical validity. Perhaps it will appeal to the Occupy meme so obviously present in the summer’s biggest movie blockbuster.
I’ll probably see it just because it stars Max von Sydow and Jeffrey Tambor.
